regardless, the point is that when the electoral votes are put forward, the rightwing talking points are to just throw the vote to trump instead of biden.
The supreme court ruling basically said electors have to follow state rules.
So if the state says "If you vote faithlessly you get a fine", then you will have to pay the fine but your vote will count.
If the state says "You may not vote faithlessly and have to go with the majority winner of the state" then you can vote faithlessly, but it won't get certified and will still be cast for the person who won the state.
So basically electors have to follow the state rules and pay the consequences if they don't follow them.

Well I mean duh. Those who openly support Medicare for all come mostly from super blue seats. If it was purple they'd have a softer stance or wouldn't be in office if they were for m4a all along
It wasn't all people from easily won seats. The ones who were more liberal tended to outperform even in swing states.
