Roe was a flagrant piece of judicial activism when it was passed. Shitty legisliation doesn't become less shitty from having been in effect for many years.
I might be wrong on this one, but from what I know, all these conservative judges did very carefully equivocate during their confirmation hearings. Afaik, none of them called Roe "settled". You might have a point when it comes to their commitment to stare decisis though.
The majority is pro choice, and like I've stressed repeatedly, the big majority of American women will continue to have access to abortions.
What might no longer happen is that states where a majority of the population is pro life are forced to tolerate abortions. (And even in these states, most women will still be able to get an abortion if they really want one.)
neat little narrative, but the opposite is actually the case. in many red states, abortion is ALREADY de facto unavailable, legislators used loopholes and overreach to make sure no one is "forced to tolerate" (what a ridiculous perversion of who is applying "force" here) it, no matter if they wanted or not.
regarding the "big majority" of women having theoretical access to abortions: that might be true for middle class and wealthy women, privileged republican voting women and mistresses of conservative lawmakers. you know who it's disproportionally not true for? pregnant teens, poor people, victims of violence (both physical and psychological), women economically and / or emotionally dependent on family / friends / acquaintances... but hey, as long as a "big majority" of women still have some rights, it's ok for you trying to downplay how a MINORITY of religious zealots undermines the rights of all women, huh?

ngl i HATE jokes about special needs people but that was fucking savage.
you "hate" them so much that you had to quote and commend that clunky and unimaginative, pre-school level retort again, sure... i mean, let's be real here: you get on your high horse when people you don't like make these kinds of "jokes", or rather insults - but you don't mind elevating them when they're directed at someone you happen to dislike personally. i mean, that's just human, and this is the internet after all, everyone is free to leave - i'm just highlighting the massive double standard (which doesn't magically disappear just because you made a token disclaimer)...
