the hilarious reality is R's define communism as "they want everyone to have the exact same amount of money", which if true (it isnt) would be like 10x the amount of money they have.

they also think that communism invariably leads to corrupt politicians (and it does), but then point out a corrupt politician as if it disproves communism.

so much friendly fire whenever those idiots try and talk about communism, they cant help jumping the shark.

see but therein lies the issue. the textbook definition conflicts with the definition in practice, and the definition once things go poorly. also there is social and economic versions of each, that can exist independently or with each other.

the solution lies in nuance, not simplification. as well as recognizing that each government requires moderation and flexibility, just the same as democracy and the free market.

Socialism/communism looks to eliminate they outliers and promises some semblance or standard for all of society. When the guy that has been rallying against the rich for decades ends up accumulating wealth in the form of millions in currency and properties it’s fun to point out the hypocrisy of what he’s preaching.

Except socialism doesn't seek to exclude outliers, and regardless Bernie is right on the line between socialist and liberal. Not even close to communism and still very much okay with millionaires. I'll remind you there is 3 orders of magnitude between millionaire and billionaire since you're bad at math.

By definition, it denies individuals the full reward of their merit. That is what void means by eliminating "outliers".
