looks like in addition to this the photographer has mask on too? or do they not work again? not sure what the anti-science propaganda mill at wapo/nyt/the atlantic/nbc and the like are saying today

Masks are not protecting yourself, they are about protecting others, duh. If only Trump had worn a mask, the reporter wouldnt have been at risk of catching droplets which go from Trump's mouth and nose, do a 180° in the air (like a cruise missle) and hit the photographer who was standing in his back.

Yea, I think that's nonsense. I really don't think a Democratic agenda is really in jeopardy. Let's take the more unlikely things: Puerto Rico as a state? Easily constitutional. Public option? We already have Medicaid. Green New Deal stuff? Most of it is increased spending.

The interesting thing would be federal mandates regarding voting rights. The Roberts court has been pretty stingy when it comes to any sort of national enforcement. There's also some concerns regarding administrative law (see Chevron Deference) but that just means Congress would have to do their job better.

Biden keeps flipping back and forth about a federal mask mandate even though each time he mutters that his handlers are not sure if it’s constitutional. so it’s not really nonsense. remember we only have free affordable healthcare because roberts thinks the constitution says we can be taxed for a service we didnt ask for.

bold; that’s not happening. an inept branch filled with swamp demons, which by default has ceded power to the judiciary and executive branches.

the congress swampscum (this is both parties im talking about here) cant even propose a simple budget to provide stimulus, this is their own fault

It would take some incredible Congressional reform in order to do that. You basically need to triple the size of Congressional staff at a minimum.

I'm not sure about the constitutionality of a mask mandate but I think it would HAVE to require some sort of national emergency declaration.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacobson_v._Massachusetts This is a relevant case but that has to do with state power. I can't see many red states enforcing that unless there was a carrot involved. Maybe Congress could tie COVID relief funds to enforcement of certain measures? Things like that make me pretty uncomfortable and I'd only support it if we're dealing with this 6 months from now.
