He used forest fires as an example. They aren't a good example. Proccy is right, Bernie is wrong.

You don't get to link X to Y, and then hand wave it away ("I made other points too!") when challenged.

You will hide behind a rock when the ecosystems will collapse.
It already started btw.

The Point I was making Lol

is that Bernie suggested if the Green New Deal had been passed, we wouldn't be dealing with these more costly problems now

Faulty af logic pure political spin

I like Bernie but I don't like when he says stupid things.

you didn't answer my question...
pick an option

1. Climate is not changing.
2. Climate is changing but not due to man
3. Climate is changing due to man.

You can re-read it here if you like. In my opinion he is suggesting that if the Green New Deal were passed (Albeit expensive af) - we wouldn't be paying these other costs now

I think that's asinine

It has nothing to do with the science of climate change

ok..
Option 2 climate change is not happening due to man.
THEN yes spending the money on the Green new deal or equal would seem to be a waste of time.
IF it is caused by man and our actions can be curtailed or changed to have significant impact on the problem, then his statement is NOT asinine, the GND my not be the answer but spending to change our impact is the point.. That's why I asked where you fall on the scale.
