Well, you need to be in person to take the photo, right? Have you ever waited at the DMV? My wife had to hire someone (TaskRabbit) for 3 days to wait in line for her because our DMV lines are so long. Now, imagine if you were black. Would you stand in line for a black person? I wouldn't because it's more likely to be drug related than DMV related. Also, where is your nearest DMV? How often are they open? You THINK it's easy but you just don't have enough experience dealing with government.
And that's only the struggle with getting an ID. A lot of states intentionally make it difficult to vote. Ohio, for instance, tried to only have
one ballot drop-off location per county regardless of population. How dumb is that?
