God can stop bad things, God cares about bad things, God knows about the bad things, but God is allowing us to see what happens when we disobey Him and His Word. He told us not to sin and this is the result. God is going to redeem the world of sin one day, it will be like new, but not until evil is Judged. Right now, He is seeing who will accept His Son Jesus Christ and His Sacrifice on the Cross for our sins and who will not. We think in terms of our lives, God thinks in terms of eternity.

In that case God cares more about "seeing who accepts Jesus" than stopping the holocaust.

God cares more about who accepts Jesus precisely because He is Not evil, He is good and loving. Without Jesus we will all be sent to an eternal punishment in hell and God doesn't want that. He wants to save us to the point of sending His own Son to die in our place. Would you send your son to die in the place of a criminal? God did.
