Problem of evil is pretty simple in my opinion

We have free will, and doing evil things makes people feel good

Ergo, people do evil things when it suits them

God either can't stop bad things, doesn't care about bad things, or doesn't know about bad things.

Pick at least one.

If we have to pick one of these, then He doesn't care about bad things.

God gave us free will on purpose for people to do with as they please, to either honour God or the Devil. It's a test - every individual is tested (soul competency) and is accountable for their worldly actions in the afterlife
