But most sports still follow IOC guidelines from 2015, which permit trans women to play against biological women providing their testosterone remains below 10 nanomoles per litre – a figure higher than average biological female levels, which range from 0.12 to 1.79nmol/L.

The sports issue is the only issue I see a legitimate grievance on. The hormone / puberty blocker controversy is a non-starter since that's gated by doctors who have outcome-based metrics to follow. The bathroom thing is just gays getting married for the insurance 2 electric boogaloo. Problem is I haven't seen a good answer.

Although I also don't know if a 12% advantage is that significant. Like, I don't know enough about sports statistics to say if that's a little or a lot.

12% is a massive difference, like snipa said. The sports issue is an exercise in futility. There's likely no way to perfectly resolve the issue, and it becomes a matter of finding the most fair and equitable outcome possible. We either preclude trans women from women's sport and essentially say they're 'not real women' or we forego scientific realities in the name of social virtue signaling, including to the detriment of competitive fairness. Efforts to do testosterone limits, HRT minimum timelines, etc. all attempt to find a middle-ground, but there's likely never going to be a perfect middle.

For weightlifting id never compete in a non-tested league since I have no interest in competing against those taking performance enhancing drugs since I myself don't have the % boost those drugs give you. I would think any competitive biological female who has sunk time in to trying to beat others would feel the same similar feeling when being asked if they would be okay competing with a biological male that on average has X% advantage. When you speak of mediums you speak as if there's any significant population. The perfect middle is having biological women compete against biological women from a pure numbers' standpoint. I don't see some need to alter everything to accommodate such a minor amount of people. That's just an opinion.

No one cares about rec leagues obviously, just anything competitive.
