As with swords, knives, bows, and every other weapon used by everyone ever, your best chance to not die from a random crazy person is to be ready, willing, and capable of responding.

Funny how there's still gun violence and gun crime in Australia. I thought it worked?

Funny how it made international news that British police are now arming up with selective fire (full auto) firearms, because gun crime is on the rise.

As it turns out, it did NOT work. Trends towards lower violent crime continued with out any major impact of such legislation. And now that times are hard, mostly due to authoritarian legislation, violent crime of all sorts, including gun crime, is once again on the rise throughout the majority of the western world. But wait, if you already made guns illegal, how is it these criminals are getting guns?!
