Ironic about this part for a law that's been in place for decades. And every judge that voted for this lied in their confirmation process In the US the majority are Pro Choice.
This is 100% GOP activism. The case law has been set since 70's. So a group of liars went back in time to re write something that the minority wants.
Roe was a flagrant piece of judicial activism when it was passed. Shitty legisliation doesn't become less shitty from having been in effect for many years.
I might be wrong on this one, but from what I know, all these conservative judges did very carefully equivocate during their confirmation hearings. Afaik, none of them called Roe "settled". You might have a point when it comes to their commitment to stare decisis though.
The majority is pro choice, and like I've stressed repeatedly, the big majority of American women will continue to have access to abortions.
What might no longer happen is that states where a majority of the population is pro life are forced to tolerate abortions. (And even in these states, most women will still be able to get an abortion if they really want one.)
