I think the issue here is that while women may reach their "peak" in terms of birthing from 18-22, they tend to be the WORST mothers and are terrible permanent companions (which is the whole point of being married). Given that we no longer need to have a lot of children (2-3 is ideal), it's best to find a more mature woman because they will be a better mother and wife. They will take longer to become pregnant and have a longer recovery in the aggregate, but that's a small price to pay in the grand scheme of things.
