Whether it can be passed or not was an advisory opinion by the senate parliamentarian, which is trivial to overrule. It got axed because most dems dont care about it.

I don't agree that it's trivial.

The Dems didn't have the votes for it anyway, but Biden didn't run as the candidate who would break norms.

and trump's package was ACTUALLY full of pork that had nothing to do with covid-19. to see trumptards reject the current plan "bEcAuSe Of aLL tHE pORk" is absurd and dishonest. it's all about party loyalty, no principles whatsoever.

The United States has already passed trillions in stimulus relief. The American response, on a GDP basis, is only bested by Japan.

An additional $1.9 trillion in non-covid spending was obviously going to ruffle feathers, and it cannot in any seriousness be passed under the moniker of "covid relief".

two countries that are far better at everything than the third reich other than being losers

we should have really focused the Marshall Plan resources more in England and Japan. look what all that spending in central Europe got us. Mercedes and BMW would have thrived regardless and America has had better beer now for decades in an ironic turn

only problem with that narrative is that it's complete bs. the trump spending had only little to do with covid, was overwhelmingly 'pork', and dems only agreed to it to get the desperately needed little help to people, and republicans wouldn't agree to anything more focused on the little guy. the biden package is focused on covid related issues, contains significantly more help to the average american, but republicans oppose it because it's not what their donors want.

if you're not just being a right wing hack in your post, uncritically regurgitating fox news narratives, if you genuinely believe that to be true, you should seriously take the time and read the details of both proposals - because your claim that the recent one is "non-covid spending" while suggesting trump's largely was, is nothing short of absurd...

Ah... I see. You're playing the "Reverse" card in UNO.
I'll assume it's a language difficulty.

Btw... here's the Dems delaying... again! They were supposed to vote today.

U.S. House will take up Senate's $1.9 trillion coronavirus bill by Wednesday: Pelosi

The Senate passed its version of the bill after a marathon overnight vote on Saturday.

Dems were supposed to vote on Tuesday, today, by their own schedule. Now they are pushing it back to Wednesday.

i see you're playing the "i can't read and think for myself" card, pretending like it's not the truth. if you cared about facts more than your feelings you'd know you've been had - but you people just love to delude yourselves and lick corporate boot...
