this isn’t an apt description of the entire working and middle-class, which includes quite a few minorities and immigrants
and no im not a fan of people who act against their own self-interest and don’t understand that sometimes innovative measures means change. and come on in theory all of us who work for a living are “bought and paid for”. even the business owner, whose boss is the customer.
apt on the whole, no. apt generally, 100%.
min wage raises get anti black sentiments. UBI gets anti black/poor sentiments. Free healthcare the same.
black people are more poor as a group, poor people take more social services, new social services automatically get anti poor and anti black sentiments. idk, maybe its just my area, but when i hear shop employees talk about UBI they say openly "my taxes go up to pay some niggers rent". in 2020, openly, at work.
