10 years ago things like universal healthcare, increased min wages, and fears of automation slash UBI werent a part of the conversation.

as each is folded in the working class eats up corporate rhetoric and sides against their own interests.

imagine trying the help a group of people only for them to demonize blacks, poor people, and immigrants on behalf of corporate overlords that make a windfall while eliminating them as a class of labor. would u view these people with respect? think they're smart? no, of course not. the blue collar worker is bought and paid for, only when they're unemployed will the spell break. i should know, im the wizard.

The Democratic party did not try and help them, they decided they were politically irrelevant. Hillary misread the entire situation and thought Hollywood culture and pandering to the woke cultural elite was representative of all Americans.

Now the Democrats are even starting to lose Hispanics. They're lucky the alt-right is in its infancy and the candidates are bottom tier rejects. If a competent candidate comes along they will get destroyed.

this isn’t an apt description of the entire working and middle-class, which includes quite a few minorities and immigrants

and no im not a fan of people who act against their own self-interest and don’t understand that sometimes innovative measures means change. and come on in theory all of us who work for a living are “bought and paid for”. even the business owner, whose boss is the customer.

this is the crux of building a coalition of so many fractious forces. as the Yang portion of the party wants to create UBI they're told its racist because slavery reperrations are needed first. expanding medicare which is the only realistic path to m4a is too slow, and plays into the GOP according to some. Min wage increases dissolve the blue collar midrange wage base. etc.

honestly harping on sexual harassment and people who like to use the N word in traffic disputes might be the least damaging approach given the coalition they had in 2016.

apt on the whole, no. apt generally, 100%.

min wage raises get anti black sentiments. UBI gets anti black/poor sentiments. Free healthcare the same.

black people are more poor as a group, poor people take more social services, new social services automatically get anti poor and anti black sentiments. idk, maybe its just my area, but when i hear shop employees talk about UBI they say openly "my taxes go up to pay some niggers rent". in 2020, openly, at work.

fox valley wisconsin is extremely racist. but even in Illinois the whites talk like this when no minorities are around. its why i laugh hard when GOP voters get stuffy about pervasive and institutionalized racism in america. my step mom posts daily right wing memes about how america isnt racist, democrats are the real racists, etc. shes the one who told me interracial marriage is OK if i actually love the woman but i better not make any kids with them. she's the one who claims her social security isnt going up because of N WORDS. she's the one who longs for the 1960s pre racial america she grew up in when train tracks kept them on their side.

fuck. white. people.

i prefer the openly racist. tell me about extra knee tendons and brain size determining IQ, dont tell me democrats are the real racists then be a fucking disgrace.

well as they say the racists in the south are racist to your face and you know what places to avoid. the racists in the north shake your hand and then stab you in the back once you’ve outlived your usefulness. oh and if you think differently than what they expect of you you’re a “race traitor”

yup southern racism is refreshing, its not hard to understand how blacks/whites live in general peacefulness, its all in the open. open disagreements beat politics any day.
