We have means of deciding what the public wants, and its done via elections for the house, senate and presidency. The people elected Trump, the house majority decided they wanted impeachment, a senate majority told them to bugger off.

100% agree. That's the reality we live in. There will be consequences for all 3 bodies but that's the America we live in. We always get the politicians we deserve.

Because Trump crossed the red line, and what people (2/3 of americans following some poll) want is to have Bolton testifying in the impeachment trial.
Thus perma impeachment era is what your system is going to.

There's a reason we don't let "some poll" decide for our governance. We have elections, not cold calling cell phone numbers in an urban district and weighting results by partisan affiliation to get an ideologically skewed result like pollsters these days.
The perma impeachment era is indeed where we're going, brought upon by the democrats plunging us into it needlessly, by their need to sate a radical far-left base that was threatening to outflank them this year.
Just like the nuclear era and perma obstruction era before it, that bell can't be unrung.

Let's keep in mind that Bolton's manuscript is still... hearsay.

/e Unless Bolton has documents or tapes to "prove" what he's saying... it's just more Dem hearsay.

/ee Also need to remember that Bolton is definitely a disgruntled ex-employee.

Theres plenty of hearsay exceptions, and even tapes and documents would likely be hearsay. Admission against interest is an exception (short version I tell you I did something illegal, you can testify to my admission since its against my interest) so bolton could potentially testify to trumps statements.

Trump crossed the red line and you know it, in any advanced country this kind of behavior leads to resignation.
2/3 of american supporting Bolton testimony in your Senate trial is a number going beyond partisanship.
Not a blowjob story.

Thinking he could act like he's doing in private business. Still: your system is evolving and the polarization/fall of bipartisanship of your politics means more impeachment attempts.
Only when the opposition has congress... ^_^
