the irony is that when i had discussion with family members it eventually devolved into "well at least he'll appoint a conservative SCOTUS judge" and me saying "god i'd kill for a moderate one". I could spend an hour explaining to my ignorant family that he might not be able to get a damn thing past congress and they'd still be happy he'll be repealing abortion. then i explained that only means states can decide and abortion state will still be everywhere, and i think they honestly didn't believe me.

I think it's gonna be some ridiculously right wing sociopath to really smash women's reproductive rights.

Anyone who had their fingers anywhere near the disgusting breach of human rights and the American constitution that was the rfra shouldn't be in any political office whatsoever. Dumbest reason to vote Trump. But you may just need those guns in a couplea years time if Trump follows through on his vision of turning America into a corporatist, fascistic, orwellian nightmare.

Chances are he won't be able to make good on even 10% of what he promised on the campaign trail but if he does then any healthy man with a backbone will have a moral obligation toward armed resistance.

Don't forget what he told you - ' You second amendment people... There's something you could do'
