Christmas WAS founded on Christianity.

Allow me to introduce you to Paganism.

You act as if you're innocent of personally attacking people.

True enough, but I back up those attacks with actual facts and defend the point that I'm making when I resort to them. I don't just make ridiculous accusations and then refuse to actually explain them and give the other person a chance to defend themselves. :(

Pagans didn't call it Christmas, silly.

I think I'm just frustrated because it seems like you're of the mindset that if one part of a paper is wrong then the whole is wrong. It would be much more productive if you would accept parts of it that you agree with and work from there to reconcile the parts that you disagree with. I read a lot of esoteric and occult works but never will I take everything presented as truth. I take the parts that agree with what I already know and disregard the rest.

Spel's personal belief is that bits of truth are found in most religions. So I don't really see how you can come away with this through about him when your claim wholly contradicts what his world view is.

I'm pretty sure he's just opposed to The Present because it's a bunch of pseudo-intellectual hooey.

Yep.

The ideas in the Present are nothing new and are presented in a stupid way that claims to be the actual Truth. And I'm glad that you read bits and pieces and take what you like and disregard the rest, but that doesn't seem to be the way that Eli is taking it - quite the opposite, in fact, since I have presented several books that he hasn't been willing to so much as crack, whereas I've read like half of this stupid book already. :(

I know you so well.
It's like we're married.
Except we don't fight enough.
