The US has the same number of political leaders as the UK (one at a time), but 5 times the population. And yet the last attempt on a UK leader was 1812, thats over 200 years. The US population surpassed the UK in 1860.
US population was roughly double UK population until the 1950's.
So how many US leaders got shot since? Not to mention MLK, Malcolm X and all the attempted shootings like Reagan.
Your question was would more gun control lead to less leaders being shot. The evidence overwhelmingly supports the answer being yes.
