Life begins at conception, period.
You cannot draw some arbitrary line saying, “oh here is life I guess, not a second before.”
There is no middle ground. Life starts at conception.

The most "extreme" Republican law in the past several years has been the heartbeat bill, restricting abortion after 6-weeks. That is popular with large segments of the American public, especially in the states where those laws were passed. Restricting access to abortion at 15 weeks is broadly popular with the American public at large, and is the default Republican position. Contrast that to Democratic politicians who can't find a single instance of abortion they don't support, and struggle in press conferences to express any position other than "legal up to (and shortly after) birth".
https://www.wsj.com/articles/support-for-15-week-abortion-ban-outweighs-opposition-wsj-poll-finds-11648821601Vast majority of abortions are done very, very, early, I can tell you that as example in France 72% of abortions are done with drugs ("without intervention")
Then in EU the chosen delay is often around 10-15 weeks. Now seems that
85% of the american people would allow the right to abort, more or less freely.I remember some republican state that diminished the delay to 10 weeks, the problem being these jerks were also putting the women in need in lines forcing them to wait.
Else 10 weeks would be ok too. Some other states have it way too late imo.
Heart beat means nothing, it's just a fool trickery: A real question could be: at wich age a fetus can survive outside...
What is the difference between an embryo, a fetus and a baby?
The main things to know:
The embryonic stage begins at fertilization and lasts eight weeks
The fetal stage is from the 10th week of pregnancy (if you count from the start of the last menstrual period) until birth
A rapid and complex transition occurs at birth from dependent fetus to independent newborn
The language we use to describe pregnancy and the development of the embryo or fetus is important. Unfortunately, language is now part of the fight for access to abortion
