It should be an option for certain crimes.

It isn’t only the fact that the United States is too lenient on criminals. It’s also the laws are made to benefit criminals.

I oppose the death penalty because aside from the increased expenditure that the death penalty process adds to the justice system, I do not think that the State should have the power to execute its own citizens.

In many European nations you can kill a person and get another chance after 8 years.
That indeed is sickening for anyone with morals. It is pure evil but according to the current state of the degraded minds it is probably just OK

People are wrongly imprisoned often, who's to say people won't be wrongly sentenced to death?

I am for the death penalty if the said case(s) are absolute, depending on the severity of the crime.

that's probably why european nations have such high homicide rates compared to awesome nations like the US, where the death penalty and private gun ownership not only deter such heinous crimes, but also protect the people and prevent murderers from killing more than one victim. good point.

It comes down to my tax dollars which cost more the life inprisonment or death.
But the death penalty needs to be for some really really bad crimes committed. And they need to be absolutely sure which isn't often the case. Drawing out the process too long can incur some major legal costs.

I personally don't care too much either way but would prefer to do without because it's there to only scare people to not commit crimes.
However 2000 years ago people needed death to motivate them otherwise it would turn into a tribal bloodbath
