It sucks man- everyone is screaming for “equality”- instead, they are just pushing their beliefs onto others. People should be more concerned with themselves and practice respect towards each other.

Also, so we don’t steer away from the topic- how does replacing a holiday because the country is overrun by alcoholism and gambling justified? Some one posted earlier that it is simply because of the money generated. That person is correct and it’s sad.

Well you know, one shouldn't take achievements away from people. And there has always been war and shady ways of doing things throughout history. But that doesn't mean we should brush that under the carpet and forgive and forget. Nothing justifies abusing power, even if you discover free energy and end world hunger. Because it sets a precedence for later generations doing the same thing.




This is true lol, just because the "civilized world" (whatever that means) got news about it doesn't mean someone "discovered" it... The native indians may have been barbaric, but every single people on earth have had their shady side. It's ridiculous how we humans are being led around in circles by historians and mass media manipulation.



Pride, pride, what is pride? At any rate, pride is stupidity and ignorance. When you feel proud about something, there are fifty thousand others that has done something similar, but better. An accomplishment should not entitle pride. An accomplishment should only be about fulfilling a need, a solution to a practical problem. And that is just normal work ethic.

The only time humanity as a whole should feel proud, is when we all live under one single flag, has vanquished all bad living conditions and live in peace and harmony with ourselves and nature. And we are very far from that yet.

Columbus wasn't the forefather of any country/nation. Also, Columbus day is celebrated in many countries. Columbus never even set foot on soil that is now known as the USA.
