when a cell replicates there can be copying errors (mutations). these errors can result in a different function although most times the living system crashes and the cell dies. they keep colonies of viruses alive and see what happens. its dangerous work to monkey around with chit like this and is what some people believe what happened at the wuhan lab ........they made something and it got away?
