The contrarian substacker is a prominent anti-anti-Trump left-winger(that book was written in 2016), and Elon Musk let Trump back on Twitter, endorsed Republicans in the 2022 midterm, and seems to parrot Trumpist right-wing nonsense. He's posted numerous right-wing conspiracy theories since he took over Twitter. At the very least they are two men who are against Democrats and sympathetic or overtly supportive of Republicans. And in the age of Doug Mastriano and Kari Lake, endorsing Republicans in 2022 with no caveat is basically a pro-Trump endorsement.

He's a traditional liberal, hence his (sympathetic) book on Eric Garner and his opposition to the mass surveillance wing of the Democratic party. The modern "liberal" is a bit like Trudeau, they're jealous of the power the CCP has over Chinese citizens and want some version of that here.

Professed left-wingers who focus their aim entirely on the Democratic party and anti-Trump figures can accurately be described as anti-anti-Trumpists. Because the supposed establishment, and most media outside of the right-wing bubble, criticize Trump, people like the substacker, Greenwald, and the rest whose names nobody has ever heard of are entirely focused on providing viewpoints contrary to that establishment position. And they've developed an audience that craves the anti-establishment view, and a significant segment of those people are sympathetic or explicitly in favor of Trump.

But I understand right-wingers have to pretend people like Tulsi Gabbard did a complete 180 because drag queen story hour or something.

I unfollowed Marcy because she's so abrasive but she points out some serious flaws in the contrarian substacker as it relates to Russia. And she points out what has been made clear in the thread, that the right-wing narrative about Twitter is not really supported by this "revelation".

The hashtag #MattyDickPics is gold, though.

I see her as simply not giving a fuck. She's smart as hell, and generally has great insight.

Glenn Greenwald is doing what he always did, his ideology has been remarkably consistent. He's a bit too bitter for my taste, but it makes sense. All of his "friends" weren't fellow believers, just shameless partisans who disowned him as soon as he criticized the wrong side.

Taibbi reminds me of Liz Cheney, someone who no longer has a role in a movement that has left them behind. He's not a Trumpist, just someone who strongly disagrees with the majority authoritarian wing of the present Democratic party.

You should have a lot in common with these people, I don't know why you hate them.

Doesn't this sound very similar to the warning Facebook got before the Hunter Biden story leaked? If true, this isn't exculpatory, it's a smoking gun tying federal law enforcement to manipulating an election.

1k vs 1k that he (Trump) does not get the nomination.

An incompetent bungler with a history of getting run around by his own bureaucracy.
