I thought up an example to show why your logic is crap.

Imagine that your dad went and robbed a bank. He gave some of that money to you. You benefited from his bank robbery. However, assuming that you did not take part in this crime, can the judge sentence you to jail-time just because you benefitted from the money? No, he can't. And this is what I am trying to show you.

If I buy a bicycle from someone, and I find out later that they actually stole the bicycle from someone else I know, what do you think I should do?
