Sure but only if their views cause actual harm. Alex's movement caused actual harm.

But im faily sure even with that he would have gotten away with it if he'd show up to his previous trial but he didnt and by default he lost.

Badically his own fault for not taking it serious while the parents are being harassed after losing a kid.

The crime doesn't match the punishment. Do I think he* should be punished? Sure. Do I think his actions merit a more severe fine than the average legal value of 6-12 human lives? Nope. I also don't think Remington Arms is responsible for Sandy Hook at all, yet we get these liberal judges fining them $73 million for advertising a product to its primary audience. That court case is almost as broad in scope as the infamous Reno v. American Civil Liberties Union.
