So, to clarify, you believe in on demand abortion, for any reason, because you believe nobody has articulated their beliefs properly? Help me understand this. I have a huge feeling this is disingenuous, but humor me.

I think you've made some strong assumptions about me based off of, what, 3 posts? I haven't made the same about you.

My position is simply: The vast majority of abortion 'debate' revolves around intangible, philosophical arguments about things like "When does life begin"?, and people with anti-abortion sentiments frequently espouse those beliefs without also complimenting it with real-application of those beliefs. For instance, if one were to believe that "Abortion = murder" (as many people do), then people should be able to articulate how society should treat and respond to abortion as though it were murder. People, in my experience, are very reluctant to do that though because the implications, followed to their logical conclusion, are grim.

The idea is to hold the doctors accountable. We will see what sort of laws are passed post Dobbs and can discuss them when they arrive. Women are seen as the victim of the doctors who perform the abortion.

To articulate, from my own words, the abortionist gets charged with murder, if performing an illegal abortion. There will likely be massive compromise here when things actually start happening.

Those who perform illegal abortions.

If doctors would be charged with murder, it would be likely that doctors to a significant degree would stop performing abortions. People would still want an abortion though and inevitably we'd have people self-aborting. What should society do about that?

I am having trouble figuring out why this has never been said to you before. This is a very commonly held position by the anti abortion crowd. These simple to understand stances have been publicly available for a very long time, and have been articulated many times by many different people. Most of which are immediately denounced and mocked for being “far right extremists” but that is way off topic.

You literally said abortion on demand at all stages, because nobody has explained how anti abortion laws would pan out in reality. Correct?

I'm just genuinely striving to understand your position. To me it sounds like you'd be for making it illegal (and tantamount to murder) for a doctor to perform an illegal abortion, but I'm unclear what your position is for people who self-abort.
