I simply think the richest country on the planet could do better than having tens of millions in squalor, unable to obtain decent health care or education or careers, with most of your new adults unable to achieve home ownership (ever). But hey, if you're ~40 in America, you've got it made.
(for context, I have excellent, free healthcare, a cheap but effective education, a high paying career, and two homes, all well under 40... and regularly vote to spread the wealth in my country)
I ask again, what are you talking about? Our version of "poverty" would make you the richest man in the region in any third world nation. Over $700 Billion was spent last year to provide free healthcare to those in poverty, and everyone has access to schools. As for careers, it takes a lot of work to first qualify, and then obtain, and then maintain a career. Some people are weak-minded, and are not willing to put in that work. Isn't that sort of what this topic is about?
Now, if you want to talk about investment groups and billionaires buying up massive swathes of farmland, residential real-estate, etc. and actively preventing regular people from gaining access to these things, we could have a real discussion. It's a fair point and I suspect we'd agree more than we disagree.
Nobody is denying that life isn't fair. We already knew that. The steps required to make life fair are authoritarian and anti-liberty in nature. I'm telling you flat out that I'm perfectly fine with the fact that you support socialist policy in your nation. Feel free. Your nation is sovereign and can do what it wants. What I'm curious of is why you would promote revolution in the United States when you do not live in the United States? Can you please show me on the doll where the US has hurt you?
