It's not, particularly, in anything other than the extraneous. Same type of news cycle hit with Bill Clinton's injury, and his inability to continue jogging while injured.
A president needs a form of exercise. Bush, Obama, and Trump all went with golf, as golf allows you to conduct business, get exercise, and have fun doing it. Clinton went with jogging, which was a problem after he injured... Was it his knee? He was a big time jogger, and they had issues getting Secret Service who could keep his pace. So there was huge concern over how he'd remain healthy with his main mode of keeping fit gone, as he's prone to gut fat, so a higher heart attack risk.
Now with Biden, he's falling on his bike because he can't outsmart a pedal strap/cage. So the question is whether it's just a one-off, or should he maybe switch to an exercise bike rather than a true bicycle, for safety reasons.
It's fun to mock/meme when presidents look silly, such as the majority of Dubyah's presidency, but there is a real concern about the health and safety of the President.
All he'd have to do is switch to pedals that didn't have toe cages. Those things get people of all ages. This is a complete non-story.
