It's obvious that you're losing your shit because Elon Musk owned the woke left once again, calling others that point it out simps. You're triggered as hell, lol.

No need "thorough detail", obvious shit is obvious.

Oh look he's referencing feelings instead of facts.

Can someone explain why people love or hate elon musk

Musk actively cultivates his public image as "autistic super smart genius who revolutionizes the world". Some people buy into that. Other people like to point out that most of his ideas are exceptionally dumb (hyperloop, vegas tunnel, etc.). Then the first group gets mad and the second group responds in kind.

Ive always been a bit confused why people find the idea of tunnels and the hyperloop so bad. they're proposed in cities where people sit in traffic for 3 hours a day just to travel a few miles.

i feel like the first generation went poorly and people pounced, or they see the fact that elon owns the tunnel digging business and assume its purely him lining his pockets.

i'm aware of some of the engineering issues they currently have, just dont get the hate for the idea itself.

It's sad that people haven't figured out what a figurehead is still.

because his designs are not intended to be solutions for everyone, his repeated attempts to re-invent public transportation are intended to serve a financial elite:

The hyper loop is about a 100 years old as a concept and will never be economically viable.. It's literally just worse trains. One leak and the whole thing is shut down and potentially kills everybody on board.

The tunnels are just worse subways.. They don't solve any issues choose that an underground tram doesn't solve better.

In theory you might get them to work but they are hundreds of times riskier than a train in the events of failure and thousands of times more expensive.

They are the reason why it's a meme that Elon Musk is so smart he keeps inventing worse trains

what u find obvious is often hilariously incorrect, you're takes on others are generally laughably bad. you just sort people into "those who agree with me entirely" and "woke lefties".

Thread is about Elon Musk owning the woke left, the people that are going reeeee are easy to spot.

Right, but above ground maglev trains that already exist are infeasible in many of the places hyperloop is being proposed. good luck getting tens of thousands of land owners to sign off on that. that's the entire purpose of the concept, dig in a place the land owners wishes dont factor into. otherwise it's just a maglev train with added pressure concerns. hell it could even be adjusted to be a nonpressurized concept in the subterranean area.

as to the tunnels they allow people to stay in their cars from home to work in areas where they either need to wait in traffic for an insane long time or ride public transport into city center from the edge of town. chicago is a great example there, many suburban commuters drive from home to a subway, then subway to town, then uber to work. to avoid traffic.
