The unions say it isn't being taught, and then imbed the defence of CRT in their national platform. You guys needed a win so bad you made up an imaginary foe and defeated that imaginary foe. The things listed are all things that make white children feel bad and aren't supposed to be taught. Also teachers have no tools to redirect kids who are calling a student a butt baby because they have two dads.

As it stands we have public schools that teach that white people are better than black people. If you get involved in education you will hear it yourself from the poor students if you ask why the schools in the nice neighborhoods have the nice stuff and they have left overs. "They are better than us". It sucks to hear that. But that is the message unless children are taught to be anti-racist. I've heard it over and over again in after school programs, during service learning experiences, during other interactions. This is called False Consciousness and its where you internalize the values of your oppressors though ideology being taught through socialization. Schools have been really great at this.

Teaching things unbiased and as they happened is way too much for the American Right. You guys are so insulated by your white privilege that you're like "quit bringing up slavery, god dammit". Some of you have moved on and are minimizing it "it wasn't that bad. You don't buy an expensive car and fuck it up do you?". You guys have Holocaust deniers: "It never happened". The stages of gaslighting are: It didn't happen, It didn't happen how you remember it, it wasn't as bad as you make it out to be, why do you keep bringing this up? The anti-CRT movement is living in the final two stages.

I’ve literally left both a public school and catholic school this year because of them. No way am I contributing to that, too much dignity. So many people are leaving these institutions and when parents don’t send their kids (enrollments are dropping) these hell holes will crater.

Trump will easily crush the primary no matter who challenges him. As for how big of a margin he will win in the general election will depend on how much Brandon fucks our country before then.

Conservatives win for a number of reasons: institutional advantages, keeping the status quo is easier than change, etc. I think the biggest reason is that the people in charge of the GOP understand their voters and they know what energizes them. They know how to keep the coalition together and they know what they can get away with. Democrats? Not so much. It's really a hodgepodge of various interests who are forced to band together due to survival. Honestly, Democrats just need to stick with healthcare for now. In the medium term, they need to denationalize politics because there isn't a single "justice" message that is going to work in Kansas vs. New York.

I don't think feelings over facts is exclusive to conservative voters. It seems to me that the vast majority of both parties consists of low information voters. I do agree with the idea that the liberal elites have a deeper understanding of the issues, they just don't understand how to translate that into action.
