This is a subjective answer. The reality is that it doesn't matter what it would take to get you to believe in God because God doesn't need you to believe in anything.
Holding God hostage to your expectations will never work out.
I dont care about a sentence like "God doesnt need you to believe in him".
A sentence like this doesnt help anyone except the narrative of people that already believe in him.
My question was WHY do people believe in god.
Your answer is basically, that it doesnt matter.
So truth is not important to believers I guess. Believing gives comfort to everyone who wouldnt get along without it holds on to it, I get that.
Thats why believers dont question anything and tell everyone things like "I found god for myself, cant explain it. If he hasnt revealed himself to you, there is no way."
Its always easy for believers. God is omnipotent, so you can twist and turn things in every direction and avoid any explanation. Thats pretty comfy.
