Thoughts and prayers. If anything, Antifa are semi-victims of their billionaire sponsors.

I have enjoyed calling them pawns for Soros for months now.

I'm sure there will be plenty more such opportunities moving forward.

Antifa members aren't witnesses, they're participants. So far we know basically nothing about the actual circumstances of the shooting, since there's no credible source and no footage released publicly yet. There are claims the entire encounter was on a GoPro, and we know the identify of the dead antifa and 'pretty sure' we know the identity of the resident, 44 year old Ben Smith.

It matters who shot first, who was the aggressive party, who was menacing who. Right now the only statements to the press have been by antifa since the resident guy was critically injured and can't give his own version, and the Antifa folks are blatantly lying. The "unarmed group" opened fire on him with a rifle and critically injured him, and the "unarmed protester armed with a rifle" was taken into custody. So whatever they say can be safely ignored.

The funny thing is, if you live in portland, all you hear about is all the anti vaxers and goppers that get sent home in body bags after starting fights.

These losers finally get a single tick off and feel like its a cause for celebration, when in reality its more like a college football game between savannah tech and and clemson where savannah tech actually scores a field goal against clemson's 70 something points.

More police reports, investigations, and paperwork on a thinned and strained force will only cause more needless shootings and accidental discharges at civilians. Which will cause a loop until it gives in.
And this is why we have voting. Vote out the ones not doing what you like. If they don't do their jobs, flood their office with calls, letters, emails, etc. Pressure your reps.
It's not hard. People are lazy.
I've sent countless emails and letters. Idk if it's working because I don't have these problems where I live.

The beautiful vent box always gets the job done. You don't know if its working because when you contact your representative, if you get a response back, its a copy/paste template from an underling staffer. You don't know if its working when you go to local city meetings and get a 1-way opportunity to vent on a podium for 2 minutes to people who are professional day-dreamers. You don't know if its working when you appeal wrongful citation due to being a victim of a felon and are told 'too bad the law says you are liable...'. You don't know if its working when homelessness is rampant during an economic crisis yet corporations are first to be bailed out. You don't know if its working when arsonists and looters run rampant among your community while leaders call protectors to stand down.

The civilized tools citizens are supposed to use such as their voice and vote has been marginalized, so its only natural people will leverage other tools if it achieves the goal. It is the citizens job to ensure proper people are in office, and the representatives job to craft/recraft the system to work effectively for ALL citizens. We have had decades of representatives crafting the system to work for them and their corporate buddies. Money is speech, and corporations are people right? The representatives have setup the playing field, now they must recraft it before citizens start using more of their other toolsets.

Yours guys have dozens of thousands of shooting every years, and you decided to make 1 topic for that ?

/e:

Portland police Lt. Nathan Sheppard told The Daily Beast, “Unfortunately, not all cases are simple. In some, a determination has to be made of who is a suspect and who is a victim. Releasing names prematurely, before all the facts are known, could have catastrophic effects on an investigation and any person who might eventually be considered a victim (and their family).

“As such, we will not be releasing the names of anyone associated to the case at this time.”

On social media, one witness shared an account that seemed to vary from cops’ initial narrative of the incident. “We were unarmed traffic safety volunteers who weren’t with any protestors,” the woman wrote on Twitter Monday. “Four women trying to de-escalate & he unloaded a 45 into us because he didn’t like being asked to leave and stop calling us terrorist c*nts. We were in high vis and dresses. He murdered a disabled woman.”

There is no voting solution.
