I know that it took a while for Europe to shake off the invaders(Ottomans, Moors, etc) but eventually we got around doing it and kickstarted the Age of Exploration.

Yes I know that so what? Maybe having 1% minorities was OK and lighthearted fun in the way of "ooh look an exotic person", but at this point it has reached the limit and is no longer sustainable. Anyone can get sent home by the way, for example, Algerians expelled their French Pied-Noir in the 1950s(all while French had nukes!!) and French did nothing to help their countrymen. You can repatriate anyone as long as there is a will there is a way.
