you're the one rationalising and downplaying censorship. pretty sure you're the one on the wrong side of history (again), brownshirt. now crawl back to your hole.

providing pertinent and accurate context =/= 'downplaying censorship'

that's not at all what you're doing though. you don't provide anything, quite the opposite: you feign ignorance in order to downplay the censorship of anti-fascist literature.

it's a clear pattern with you: you always spawn whenever some white nationalists / fascists / bigots are being criticised. you deep-throated the boot of stephen miller when he was spreading white replacement propaganda, you shilled for the charlottesville nazis, you exclusively clutch your pearls about "free speech" when it comes to protecting hate speech, and now you're back to defend the censorship of a book about the holocaust.

do you genuinely think people don't notice that? get lost already, brownshirt.

The fact that its not being banned and instead is a curriculum change of one district is in fact providing something.

I did not feign ignorance. I was completely truthful.

Its a clear pattern with you: hostile to any new information, critical thinking and viewpoints that go against your moronic worldview.
You try to cover up your low IQ anti-intellectualism and any inconvenient facts with demonizing people for no legitimate reason. Its entirely pathetic and stale.

I did not defend 'censorship' at all.
I recognized the fact that a school district cut it from their chosen curriculum and said their reasons for doing so were lame.

You'd rather tilt at windmills and lie than accept the truth.

and now you feign ignorance about the clear pattern of right wing organisations pushing for bans of books with anti-fascist messages and lgbtq content all over the country. again, you trying to rationalise and downplay what's happening doesn't change the facts - and it falls squarely within the pattern of you showing up to protect fascists, white nationalists, history-deniers, homophobes, and other scum.

Anyone here read it?

If I'm seeing the right story about this, the book isn't even banned. one school district decided to remove it from their curriculum and hysteria ensued.

the government propaganda website I read said the district removed it because there are naughty words and nude imagery, which is a pretty lame reason

my school showed pictures of concentration camps instead of this graphic novel, so i don't know it that well.

Removing it from the curriculum isn't close to banning it.

Is Maus the next Chik Fil A? Gonna go best seller because the "other side" hates it?

"Maus," the Pulitzer Prize-winning graphic novel about the experiences of Holocaust survivors that was recently banned by a Tennessee school board, has made the Amazon best-seller list.

As of Friday night, a hardcopy version of the serialized work by Art Spiegelman was listed as the online retailer's #9 top seller.
Earlier this month, "Maus" was removed from an eighth-grade English language arts curriculum by the McMinn County, Tennessee, Board of Education over concerns about "rough, objectionable language" and a drawing of a nude woman.
The board voted 10-0 to remove the book from the curriculum, saying it should be replaced, if possible, with another book without content deemed objectionable.

Lol Cam's right it seems.

whatever you have to tell yourself, brownshirt. this is how you (want others to) see the world:

political advisor spreading white nationalist propaganda: "hE's jUsT rEcOmMenDinG aWarD wiNniNg boOks"
nazis marching to protect monuments of racists: "tHeY aRe JuSt pEoPLe wHo LiKe tO dReSs FaShiOnaBLy"
censorship of anti-fascist literature: "jUsT sChoOLs cHanGinG tHeiR cUrRiCuLum"

so really nothing to see there, right?

here's the thing, simply rephrasing what's actually happening in a deliberately misleading way, in order to distract from the underlying issue, resorting to an asinine "well, it's technically correct" excuse, is transparently disingenuous. anyone with an IQ above room temperature can identify what a lazy hack you are, and what kind of people you do your mental gymnastics for. pathetic really...
