Typically people get labeled experts on a subject or field that other people that are also educated on can agree that people x/y/z are more knowledgeable and labled experts in.
It's pretty silly to call somebody an expert on their own idea.. which isn't even proven or agreed upon.
I guess if the bar for you is so low.. anyone can come up with a random idea and call themselves an "expert" at it.. it still won't sink in yet will it?
