I don't see what's wrong with that, and I also don't see how such a bill would prevent the discussion of the country's racist past. As far as I can tell, this bill does not do what the framing in these media articles says it does, namely "prohibiting saying or discussing anything that makes whites feel uncomfortable". All this bill seems to do is prohibit the teaching or dissemination of a racial narrative of kin liability and collective guilt, particularly stuff along the CRT line that "every institution in America is racist to its core" and "anybody who is not an active 'anti-racist' (with us defining what that means) is complicit in white supremacy".

It should also be noted that this bill could actually increase the protection of non-whites from stuff like this 13/50 argument that keeps popping up. From the pov of a white racist, this bill would appear like a very sharp double-edged sword that could easily backfire against their cause.

If you look at it in a vacuum, sure. But DeSantis administration has been passing these seemingly neutral laws and then using them in a politically motivated manor against groups it doesn't like.

This is part of a larger trend of corruption in his administration in the form of punishing political groups he doesn't like.

So is not saying who you are talking to.

I have no idea. I don’t live in moms basement anymore and my white collar job requires most of my focus so I just read dumb things half assed and go back to work, thinking about how half my wage goes to taxes to pay for other kids to go to school for free and unemployed. My boss and most of the people I work with are white and They’ve never made me feel like I’m lesser or beneath. This post is biased and ignorant

Ron DeSantis is too stupid to hold elected office. Which makes perfect sense that he's the governor of Florida.

The Justice Department and the Department of Education have been doing this on a national scale by soliciting letters from the NSBA comparing upset parents to domestic terrorists. The intent is clearly to create a chilling effect on the speech of parents, and the timing makes it look oddly like a bid to influence the gubernatorial election in Virginia.

There are two pictures. The original picture of the guy holidng up a sign. And then there is the edited version to excite low information people. Are you saying the original picture is a lie?

I have never once said those words.

It's not to late to change.
