Do you really think that the threat of Trump suing people was stopping them from slandering him for the past 5 years? Somewhere between Kathy Griffin holding up his severed head and half the media accusing him of pissing on Russian prostitutes while pundits went on the air to accuse him of everything from pedophilia to cannibalism, I'm sure what kept people who actually associated with him and with personal knowledge of his affairs in line was their extreme fear of his litigation. Today, Project Veritas put out an inflammatory, divisive and such brazenly untrue story about the supreme court that Justices Sotomayor and Gorsuch issued a joint statement denouncing Project Veritas's report as false. Then when Project Veritas doubled down and insisted it stands by its reporting and tried to weasel around the words by casting the blame onto Chief Justice Roberts instead, Roberts issued yet another condemnation calling the reporting by Project Veritas untrue and completely denying it:
