You think people are going to make a dozen trips into a snow storm carrying 40 gallon gas containers so people can run their heaters?
It is pretty unlikely people would be on low charge, they are almost always full.

If you can walk gas in to my car, i can get out and walk to your car.

I'd watch the blooper reel of people lugging 30lb cans of gas and diesel in each hand trying to make it to 90% of the vehicles.

All of it is impractical. That's why they all got fucked. EVS and gas are both bad at situations they aren't deisgned for.

wanna die from carbon monoxide? idle in a gas vehicle with poor ventilation all you want. once the snow covered the bottom and exhaust area you hotbox that shit.

I agree If you can get out of your car to get gas then you can leave it to come back for it later. Besides if you are stuck in a snowstorm and even service trucks cant come to your rescue then it doesn't matter what fuel/powersource you are not getting out. The best bet is to get people out with snow trucks. Electric vehicles are more then capable of keeping the heater running as long as a gas car so.

Also situations like these are avoidable especially if you have 1/2 a brain to check weather and being prepared for the conditions. Imagine going to alaska in shorts and flip flops only.

Not to mention EV are only just starting become more common. People will figure it out. There will be EV version for cold regions of this world just have to be patient stick with gas for now

Not to mention that running the heater in those gas cars long term will actually kill you, carbon monoxide poisoning.

Exhaust is hot, and easily melts snow. If someone were idling their engine 10-15 minutes every hour (which is what you should do when trapped on the road in a snowstorm), there's simply no way that snow is going to block the exiting of exhaust.

He didn't say a Tesla can run for three days. He said the heater in a Tesla could. If you're not running other electrical systems like audio, the engine itself, or that massive iPad that thing has as a console, then the heater will last longer.

It doesn't need a 100% block just a partial to re route gas back under the car even a small amount. The snow drifts around your car block it in and it rises through your floors and quietly kills you.

So crack your window and make sure the tailpipe is free of obstructions.
