Everyone here is thinking small. I have no doubts that they will chassis and builds that both mimic torque and sound outputs that we have now.

People with loud cars are terrible human beings.

The ones ripping by people's homes at 1am after they depart sitting around the Walmart parking lot are the worst. Back when I lived out east there was a lot of those. Or Tim Hortons parking lot.

My four strokes run so much quieter it's much better for not scaring off wildlife immediately like the old two strokes.

As far as cold starts go. Look at advancements in skidoos for instance. You used to have to pull your arm off and now a four stroke triple will turn over at negative 40 on an electric start. We just keep moving forward I have no doubts electric will eventually be on par or better than gasoline for cold starts as well. Just not in the immediate future.

In northern cities like Whitehorse or Yellowknife each spot always has a place to plug your vehicle in be it a block heater or blanket or whatever. Those I have no doubts will also become charging ports eventually. It will just take a retrofit.

Lol just realized you are talking about atvs. 100% agreed two strokes sound like little fucking children driving them. My 2020 yamaha is fantastic I can pull up without the dogs even noticing I am home.

Skidoos but atvs too. I have three Honda trxs all great quiet work horses. No yahmaha dealers or I'd have atleast one Kodiak.

If the machines worked as they do now as in power output and had significant battery life or a way to charge on the go that was as reliable as a combustion engine I'd have little reason to change.

The smell and sound isn't what keeps me on toys. It's the ability to go anywhere, torque at times and work capacity (towing sleds).

I think eventually we get there. It's just a ways out.

When I was younger and had a crotch rocket for all my commuting it was all about torque, power and sound combind with the feeling of being able to weave in and out of everything so quickly and being able fly.
