He's saying he traveled there with clear anticipation of violence. Had he not anticipated any I doubt he would have a rifle. Thus he placed himself in a violent situation knowing it would only instagate things.

If you actually read you would see Thor is in agreement with nearly everyone that it's likley it's self defence but believes that some work has to be done and it's not a slam dunk because of what I said above which I agree.

Everyone is in agreement it's likley going to be self defense it's just not going to happen without some work on that part of his lawyer.

I don't carry my 30-06 around town for fun. I carry it in anticipation of shooting something or violence with an animal in my case but that's only after I put myself in it's territory knowing my presence is going to cause the violence.

No one shot *at* Rittenhouse. They fired a pistol up into the air and it was behind Rittenhouse when it happened, leading him to look to see if someone was shooting at him - and finding the pedo almost on top of him.

I think the situation was clearly at best "grey area" somebody was shooting, and I could see defending his shooting response pretty cut and dry.

I don't think I can remember somebody voluntarily putting themselves in harms way.. then when it comes claiming "self defense"

Every shot he fired was defensive. You can totally make legitimate arguments that he never should have been there, and that by going armed to a tense situation, he doesn't get to claim self-defense, but you're over the top emotional in this response.
