im not even close to vegan, fyi, your counter argument to veganism was simply a bad one.

a far better one is animal death from agricultural farming that vegans en masse still participate in through their lifestyle.

i'd venture that even if i raised 100 chickens and killed them all for meat, which ive done in past years, i kill less animals than many city dwelling vegans. because i grow a large portion of our vegetables each year in my garden and store them for winter.

Vegans are powerless to change agricultural farming though. So they do what they can.

no, they aren't. they can buy only from local growers. not all of them of course but many could. or do extra research on growers to find the least immoral one. or grow their food themselves pesticide free.

or they could be real men about it and grow and kill their own meat, look an animal in the eye before it dies and thank it for it's sacrifice and try and give it the best life they can before that point. most vegans ive met disassociate from animal death out of moral superiority, because animal death is a taboo to them, because they've not ever killed an animal.

But I mean, even if an experiment has been cleared by a committee, the fact still remains that helpless, defenseless animals that are incapable of giving consent, are being experimented on, often in ways that are horrific and very painful. Doesn't this bother you?

Did you heard about a meat industry complex? We slaughter thousands of animals daily, and we breed them just so they can be slaughtered as soon as possible. This is no different.

I actually don't have a problem with killing animals. It's inflicting suffering that I object to on moral grounds. If there is very quick, painless way to kill an animal, say, very accurate shooting, then I don't have a problem with meat-eating.

mushrooms grow through environment searching for food, for example.
they were even tested in a labyrinth similar to mice experiment, and fungi successfully completed the labyrinth by growing it's mycelium in 1st attempt without making wrong turns to reach the food.
how? they don't quite understand either.

Even if they don't understand the mechanism it's an obvious case of chemotaxis. Same way white blood cells find bacteria in a flask.
