I had considered that, and when I became like 16 and got some critical thinking skills I rejected it because it doesn't stand up to basic scrutiny.

Racism is easily eliminated by growing up in a diverse environment, so there goes your idea that it's "human nature".

Race is a fabrication, it's purely something we invented to group people by that doesn't have any biological basis. We used to also group people by head size and skull shape and a myriad of other ways and nobody runs around saying "have you ever thought that head size determining criminality is just how it is?"

The only reason we still have race is because we still have racists insisting on keeping policy that disadvantages them around. Like Republicans in North Carolina specifically targeting minority communities for voting restrictions.

This is easily supported when you simply look at acceptance of interracial marriages. You go back to the 1980s and more than 50% of people simply opposed it. Fast-forward a tiny 40-year blip in history and that is sub 10% in a place like Britain now.

Some might argue that we should have been more accepting throughout the 1900s we lived in a diverse society. I would argue "live" is pretty vague. of course children growing up are going to see those of different ethnicities and women for that matter different if were treating them far worse and often like cattle. Really rights for these groups of individuals are a new thing when you look at the big picture and its only recently they actually get to "live" in the same society we have enjoyed for so long. Voting, being able to attend the same common places, same human rights, same benefits... it's all new.

Humans are high intelligence beings. Could it be we were nurtured to be racist beings, instead.

You ever notice how, anthropologically-speaking, the closer you get to the equator, the darker the skin tends to be in the native populations? It's exposure to the sun, not genetics, that makes races different.
