"bruh i work in science"
Ignores science by reading nothing but papers supported by the ones profiting of pandemics
Guess ill have to find new sources since listening to scientists talking science on science podcasts with hosts that are scientists is less credible than politicians controling science released on tv
https://nypost.com/2021/05/22/the-wuhan-lab-leak-theory-looks-more-credible-then-ever/First thing off google. Didnt read whole thing, but looks like it could slightly explain it. Nypost though

Conflates lab leak with man-made
They reference Nicholas Wade who published this article (not peer reviewed or containing any new research) which is the closest thing to research they cite, and is actually something I've been meaning to tackle for a while.
https://thebulletin.org/2021/05/the-origin-of-covid-did-people-or-nature-open-pandoras-box-at-wuhan/He does not provide evidence of lab-leak. He merely provides the possibility of some undetectable manipulation. This is what we call JAQing off. Or, Just-Asking-Questions. Instead of offering explanations and mechanisms he basically just says "Well did they use X method that would conveniently account for the fact that there's no evidence of manipulation?" Ultimately it adds nothing to the conversation.
He also says natural emergence has not gained a shred of evidence, which is patently false. We've identified multiple sequences that are characteristic of immune system dodging in pangolins. This suggests an intermediate species. Now, his response would likely be "well, what if they used pangolins for their passage?". Which is why JAQing off is not productive. It endlessly speculates about the possibility that they lined up the circumstances just right and relies on not taking the evidence in totality.
The totality of evidence shows a lot of support for natural origin, and no support so far for any kind of manipulation.
Yes, it's possible it was made in a lab and none of the probably dozens or hundreds of people working on the project have said anything, and it's possible those people used an undetectable method, and it's possible that the undetectable method involved serial passage with bats and pangolins, and it's possible that to create the virus they created their own totally new DNA sequence to base the virus on, and blah blah blah
but the more likely situation is that it just arose naturally, as viruses tend to do from time to time. It's not like this was out of the blue. Scientists have been warning for the past 10+ years that we could see an emergence of an infectious flu-like virus like Covid in the near future, and bats would be the most likely point of spread.
