Is this where we pretend there's a huge difference between a 17 year old and 18 year old?

Considering you are one to scrutinize the law so much, yes.

Of course the law matters... and 18 is a reasonable line to draw, I just find it bizarre that physical attraction to fully developed women is pathologized.

Interesting. Figured I'd go ahead and look up Federal (all branch) convictions and determine whether you're right or just making shit up. Here's every sex-related conviction from 1991-Today:

Code
Wade Sanders (D), Deputy Assistant United States Secretary of the Navy, for Reserve Affairs, was sentenced to 37 months in prison on one charge of possession of child pornography (2009).
Mel Reynolds (D-IL) was convicted on 12 counts of sexual assault, obstruction of justice and solicitation of child pornography (1997). He was later convicted of 12 counts of bank fraud (1999).
Anthony Weiner (D-NY)[ was convicted of sending sexually explicit photos of himself to a 15-year-old girl and was made to sign the sexual offenders register. He also was sentenced to 21 months in prison, a charge that was later reduced to 18 months. He reported to prison in November 2017 and was released in May 2019 (2017).
Samuel B. Kent (R), Federal District Judge of the Galveston Division of the U.S. Southern District of Texas, was sentenced May 11, 2009, to 33 months in prison for having lied about sexually harassing two female employees (2009).

Now, that seems to indicate the sexual crimes lean heavily towards Democrats. But I'm not willing to accept this answer, Skinned seems so very certain. So, I've gone through the list of state/local convictions of officials from 2010 to today, the result regarding sex-related crimes:

Code
State Senator John McGee (R) pleaded guilty to probation violation and a disturbing the peace charge related to sexual harassment that had occurred at the Idaho State Capital Building and was jailed for 44 days. (2012) He had previously been arrested for grand theft auto and driving under the influence.[63] McGee pleaded guilty to DUI and was sentenced to 180 days, serving 5 in jail, plus community service, 175 days' probation, plus fines and restitution. (2011).
State Representative Keith Farnham (D) convicted of distributing child pornography. (2014)
Detroit City Councillor Charles Pugh (D) was sentenced to 5 1/2 to 15 years for sex with a teenage boy under the age of 16. (2016)
Speaker of the Missouri House of Representatives Rod Jetton (R) was arrested for "recklessly causing serious physical injury" to an unnamed woman during sadomasochistic sex and pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault. He was sentenced to probation and fined. (2010)
State Assemblyman Neil M. Cohen (D) jailed for child pornography. (2010)
State Representative Kyle Tasker (R) was charged with three drug offenses and one count of using a computer to lure a teen. The teen was actually a police officer working undercover. He was sentenced to 3–10 years. (2016)
State Senator Marc Panepinto (D) convicted of sexual harassment. (2018)
State Senator Ralph Shortey (R) convicted of child sex trafficking. (2018)
State Senator Bryce Marlatt (R) convicted of sexual battery and was sentenced to 90 days' probation, fined $500, plus court costs. (2017)
State Representative Nelson Hardwick (R) pled guilty to assault and battery in the third degree for sexual harassment of a female employee. He was ordered to resign and fined. (2015)
State Senator Norman McAllister (R) pleaded guilty to a violation of a prohibited act of prostitution. He was sentenced to a work crew for 25 days and served nine to twelve months on probation.(2015)
State Representative Bill Kramer (R) was sentenced to five months in jail, after pleading no contest to two charges of sexual assault with three years' probation. (2014)

So I count 7 Republicans, 4 Democrats. It would seem that at the state/local level, at least for that timeframe, Republicans appear to be the more common offender. Overall, based on the extreme length of crimes I had to go through to pull those out though, it seems more accurate that thousands of politicians are criminal scum, and sex-related crimes are the LEAST of their rap sheet. :)

Note: Regarding the topic specifically, if he did it, hope he's convicted. If he's sincere and he's being extorted, hope whoever's trying to extort him is convicted. Either way.

ive maintained for a long time that society should use a 7 year gap for ages 18-30

if you're 30, lowest u can date is 23. if they're 18, highest they should date is 25.

it gets more creepy in the 18/25 range, if they're in highschool. but 18 and 30 is absurd even if they're graduated.

legality aside, society generally agrees.

If you're claiming that those senators have been convicted of sex-related crimes, feel free to toss out the information.

And frankly, for privately owned property, restroom policy should be left up to the business/owner, the government shouldn't have anything to do with it.

For schools, since Schools are State institutions, not Federal institutions, that should be left up to the States. The entire discussion is as pointless as your wild accusations.

Many blue state Universities are now offering racially segregated Dorms, so the segregated bathrooms technically already exist.

Regardless, what a stupid comparison. "People with a penis use right bathroom, people without a penis use left bathroom" or some variant has been the norm since the US adopted the public restroom. Trying to compare it to race is just nonsense.

and "blacks go here and whites go there" was the norm until we outlawed it. Norms are not laws or ethics.

You're making appeals to biology, but the racists did exactly that as well.

That last line should read, "but the racists are doing exactly that as well." Reread what I wrote. Racist Democrat KKK descendants are reintroducing segregated Dorms into State University systems.

And no, a black male and a white male and a red male and a brown male and a yellow male all share the same biology. It is not "racism" or even "sexism" to have those with a penis use one restroom, those without use another. It's something else entirely, called "prudishness". Likewise with locker rooms and a host of other sexually-segregated areas. The primary reason such segregation is a "good thing" in K-12 schools is to keep down teen pregnancy. In College dorms, there's a healthy mix of single sex and coed facilities.

The point of public bathrooms, locker rooms, showering facilities, etc. was never about "discrimination" but rather insuring the comfort level of those using those facilities. Personally, I think the bathroom question is stupid, and having worked retail and cleaned restrooms of both genders, I can quite easily say both men and women are equally fucking disgusting and I'd rather not share a restroom with anyone else, I'm a fan of single occupant restrooms as opposed to stall-based "public" restrooms. Best part about them? They're gender neutral, and allow actual privacy.

Anyhow, some fun data about people's opinions on restrooms: https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2016/10/03/americans-are-divided-over-which-public-bathrooms-transgender-people-should-use/
