Shes says/does some things that are a little wild and whacky and is getting completely smeared in the media, and as such is probably a liability, but she also says some things that are pretty great.
I have more respect for her than some neocon or boomercon who wants to play it safe and suck up to the establishment.

She thinks a space laser started the California fires last year so they could clear way for a monorail.

She's batshit insane.

What's wrong with the establishment? It's simply a point of view and set of policies dedicated to the status quo. Some of the views may be deplorable but they are largely driven by reality. The point is that you need to be based in reality whether you're a libertarian, socialist, conservative, liberal, etc.

This woman? She just uses highly charged rhetoric based on complete nonsense. She's not really smeared by the media....they are just reporting on things that she said. When you say crazy things, the profit driven media is going to report it because that's what the free market wants.

Corrupt and evil people responsible for mass death and impoverishment, but sure lets worry more about some old facebook comments that Media Matters propagandists put a bad spin on.
Priorities.

There is a concerted and prominent effort to misrepresent what she said and put it in the worst negative light to smear her.
You can dislike her and some of the things she has said, but the smear campaign is quite obvious.

Action can lead to mass death and impoverishment and so can inaction. Being anti-establishment for the sake of being anti-establishment is an intellectually weak stance. Bernie Sanders is anti-establishment and I think we can agree that his policies would be SIGNIFICANTLY worse. The crux of my argument is that many competing points of view can exist and most are based on facts. This woman is simply a demagogue. If that's what floats your boat, then more power to you.

I'm not worried about this woman and I don't think there's much spin on what she's said. Maybe you can find an example of that for me. She's simply in a position of power now as an elected official and that comes with higher scrutiny. She WANTED more media attention through her antics and now people are wondering what she said in the past. Turns out she's said some pretty crazy shit. I really wouldn't classify that as a smear campaign...
