Self-driving cars will be commonplace eventually. They will cause less accidents than human-driven cars. They will need to make determinations in scenarios such as these, even if you find this specific scenario unrealistic or oversimplified. And humans will have to decide how they're programmed to act.
So they just gonna be running over people all the time when shit breaks down in them? Shit never breaks down in cars so that's good.
Obviously both answers are false and the cars computers need to be scanning the area for other places to go. And people are going to be losing their jobs in any case for not keeping the breaks in check. "Kill this person or kill that other person." Isnt a valuable question unless you're a murderer.
