Yes its always been about politicians because theyre the ones who obstruct and who control the deficit.
God you really need every little detail spelled out for you

His point is that Republicans haven't said a thing about the deficit for 4 years and now that a Democrat is in office theyre starting to bring it up again.
Thousands of articles from republican journalists over the last 4 years regarding the deficit. Therefore, republicans indeed do care. Therefore, you are wrong. End of story.
If you wanted to make a point about "republican politicians" then you need to talk about republican politicians, not "republicans".
And it's honestly hilarious. Republicans have been attempting to push a ~900 billion covid relief bill since July, and have been blocked nonstop by democrats, who want to push a nearly 3 trillion bill that has 70% of it's funds going to random shit that has nothing to do with covid relief. 50% of republican argument against such a bill is, "Uh, why should unrelated shit be in this bill?" and the other 50% has been... You guessed it, "Impact on the deficit."
I mean, I don't know if you're actively ignorant of literally everything outside your confirmation bias, purely desperate to be right about everything you say even when you say stupid things, or what. You talk this big game about how everyone else has a hard time admitting when they're wrong, yet you're wrong about shit all the time, and will neither acknowledge it or walk it back. I'm starting to question your level of intelligence here.
