You definitely care, or you wouldn't try to impress us with your income in every conversation. This is like the fifth time I've seen you bring it up. You are doing good compared to the average in the country and that's great. But everybody here is pretty significantly above average. People who follow politics and philosophy for fun tend to be that way lol.

"Making it" off 30-50k a year is possible, but you aren't going to get ahead. You likely aren't going to invest for retirement at a nearly high enough rate unless you have a pension or other benefit that drastically offsets your income, which isn't the case for most people, and you aren't going to be able to stay ahead on savings either if you have even a slight setback or family issue.

And finally, if you want people making less than 50k a year to not have kids then the birth rate in the U.S. would drop to virtually nothing and slam our economy to a grinding halt in 20 years. You absolutely don't want people to follow your advice in the long run lol.

I don’t need food stamps because I am grown adult that has an income and can shop and prepare food for myself. Again another thing plenty of people waste money on.... having other people make their food

No arguments here, friend. I make a good amount of money - nothing to blush over. I live well below my means am debt free, own a nice home, etc etc etc.

I'm not making hundreds of thousands of dollars. I could probably pull off my current lifestyle @ $50,000.00 a year if i cut back on a few splurges in life (damn you, good scotch/gin and an arsonal of fishing gear).

It's all relative to where you live and how you live.
