lots of "unwanted pregnancies" happen, most ppl are still thankful and better people overall when they have their child still. his mother probably was, but gosh, now she is just ashamed of him. i mean my mom would look at me with deep disdain too if i thought it was okay to kill an unborn child after putting my seed in a woman

id wager a lot of first pregnancies and last pregnancies, even in committed relationships and marriages, are at the very least unplanned. unwanted is a seemingly harsh term, but it can accurately assess the situation (parents not ready yet, not a good time to start a family, were thinking they didnt want to have more children etc.)
