ive never seen these scooters before, but i happened upon one today. the guy was riding like a nutcase, also not wearing a helmet. part of the problem with these things is people rent them and have no idea of their capabilities or how to control them. he was sliding all around whenever he stopped. granted, it was wet out, but he was trying to to stop way shorter than he should have. total lack of control. i would bet the guy in dc was the same. people who rent these and drive crazy deserve their darwin awards.
